Romantic Fall Micro Wedding at Storm Mountain
H+A
There’s something magical about early fall in Big Cottonwood Canyon, and Hallee and Abram’s wedding day captured that magic perfectly. Set among the golden leaves and rugged cliffs of Storm Mountain Amphitheater, their September celebration was intimate, heartfelt, and filled with joy and love.
The Location
Tucked into Big Cottonwood Canyon, just minutes from Salt Lake City, Storm Mountain Amphitheater is one of Utah’s most beautiful and unique outdoor wedding venues. The dramatic stone backdrop and towering canyon walls make it feel both secluded and grand; perfect for couples who want to embrace the beauty of nature while keeping things simple and stress free.
The fall colors were just beginning to show, painting the canyon in shades of gold and orange. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect for Hallee and Abram’s early September wedding, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Private Vows Before the Ceremony
Before the ceremony began, Hallee and Abram shared one of our favorite moments of the day: a private first look and vow exchange. Away from the guests and tucked into a quiet corner of the canyon, they took a few minutes to read their personal vows to one another.
It was tender, emotional, and everything an elopement style moment should be. This private exchange set the tone for the rest of their wedding day; intimate, intentional, and filled with love.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a relaxed picnic reception in one of Storm Mountain’s shaded picnic areas. They shared cupcakes, snacks, and laughter surrounded by family and friends. It was simple, joyful, and perfectly suited to the setting.
