Maria and Luke’s October wedding was the perfect reflection of who they are: intentional, heartfelt, and focused on the people who matter most. With only 12 of their closest family members and friends, their day captured the beauty of a true Utah micro wedding: stunning scenery, meaningful moments, and a celebration without distractions.
The Ceremony
Maria and Luke exchanged vows at a private property in Huntsville, Utah, surrounded by the sweeping valley views unique to the area. The ceremony site, owned by High Mountain Floral, offered seclusion and natural beauty: overlooking the mountains with soft October light illuminating the scene.
With just their closest people gathered around them, the ceremony felt deeply personal and emotional. High Mountain Floral also created the bouquets and boutonnières, adding soft, romantic florals that perfectly complemented the fall setting. The weather was not too cold and not too windy, making the moment feel even more serene.
The Reception at Cactus and Tropicals
After the ceremony, the whole group drove to Cactus & Tropicals in Salt Lake City for a cozy and elegant greenhouse reception. The warm glow of string lights and lush plants created the perfect atmosphere for their catered dinner and celebration.
The couple’s small guest list made the reception feel like a family dinner: intimate, joyful, and full of connection. After dinner, the group enjoyed music, slow dancing among the plants, and a beautiful dessert display featuring the couple’s favorite treats. At the center was their stunning red velvet wedding cake, which added the perfect pop of color and personality.
Meaningful & Unique Details
What made Maria and Luke’s wedding so special were the intentional touches they included for their loved ones. Before dinner, each guest found a personal letter waiting for them at their place setting; written by the couple and printed for them to keep. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for the night and brought many happy tears.
After celebrating with their friends and family, Maria and Luke chose to end their night with a private last dance. With the greenhouse finally quiet and glowing softly around them, they held each other close, swaying to a song meant just for the two of them. It was emotional, intimate, and the perfect way to close their wedding day.
